Stories of the American Tobacco Trail

The American Tobacco Trail is a rail-to-trail project that is reclaiming 22 miles of abandoned rail corridor in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. The Durham & South Carolina line opened in 1906 and became a major rail artery for Durham's global tobacco industry. Bridging Rails to Trails: Stories of the American Tobacco Trail is a multimedia interactive documentary that explores communities along the rail-trail over the past 100 years.
