Congratulations to this year’s recipients of the SDF Filmmaking Grant:

A LOVE SUPREME: Black, Christian, and Queer in the South (working title)

A LOVE SUPREME follows 6 families and their journey to transcending religious dogma, to love each other despite theological differences regarding sexuality.

CHINESE AMERICAN VOTERS PROJECT (working title)

CHINESE AMERICAN VOTERS PROJECT is a cinéma vérité style documentary following Trump’s first year in office through the lens of Chinese Americans who cast their very first ballots as American citizens for him in 2016.

OVERLAND

An epic and meditative odyssey across four continents, OVERLAND is the interwoven story of three extraordinary people living the 6,000 year-old tradition of falconry to find their place in the modern world.
