The 2023 BEYOND: The Cary Film Festival opening night film is presented in partnership with the Southern Documentary Fund.
In South Carolina, African American Jaime Harrison takes on Republican incumbent Lindsey Graham to run for US Senate. In a state with one of the largest Black populations in the US, Harrison faces not only a global pandemic but a legacy of racial injustice that makes winning an uphill battle.
