“Nashville Rewind” is a weekly PBS series that takes a behind-the-scenes look at the little known stories in Nashville music history–from R & B to Bluegrass to Country to Pop.

Nashville’s explosive growth over the past decade or two as a city, and a major entertainment center and tourist destination has brought many positive benefits. However, along with the progress, much of the city’s music history is being lost through the destruction of classic studios and venues in and around Nashville, as well as the cradle of many music genres, from the the Mississippi Delta near Memphis to southern Kentucky, and Virginia.
