Monsoon Modern: A Place for Peace is an architecture documentary about much more than buildings. It tells the story of a group of architects in Sri Lanka that successfully devised a way to make buildings more human-friendly while having a light touch on the environment, and they did so working within a post-colonial, closed socialist economy. The film goes on to introduce the next generation of practitioners, including C. Anjalendran and Channa Daswatte.
