Pinball paints a portrait of contemporary immigrant suburbia in Louisville through Yosef, a 19-year old Iraqi-American boy. He is at a crossroads in his adolescence where he and his friends start to grow apart as they enter life after high school. This sad parting of ways is heightened by their backstories as Iraqi asylum seekers separated from their communities and living in the country that displaced them. With the support of his best friend, Samir, Yosef tries to make sense of his evolving identity.
