SDF Statement of Solidarity

The Southern Documentary Fund has a long history of supporting diverse makers who tell stories that promote racial and social justice. In this period of tragedy and turmoil, we join our voices with those who protest and demand real and lasting societal change.

We mourn the loss of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, and we grieve with their families and communities. Now their names must be added to the sustained list of human rights violations and acts of police brutality against black Americans.

We mourn.

We protest.

We scream.

We cry.

We grieve.

SDF will continue to support our makers, helping them voice their truth, in the never-ending fight for social justice.
