Blaktastik is an explorative look at contemporary and alternative South Carolina Black culture and how Generations Y and Z are redefining blackness using new and creative ways. This film series is about more than creativity; about more than the artists, innovators, and pioneers, like me, that dreamed of being working artists. Because South Carolina is so central to the story of America, at its core, this film is about what is lost and gained when artists begin to redefine what it means to be identified as Black and South Carolinian in a post-pandemic world.
