ELECT JOYCE tells the story of Joyce Elliott’s race for the 2nd Congressional District seat in Arkansas. Elliott is one of the most well-known and respected Democrats in the state, but she’s starting out at a disadvantage. Her opponent, Republicn French Hill, is in his third term and enjoys all the advantages that come with incumbency including money and name recognition. She’ll have to overcome the challenges brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, and she’ll have to navigate a volatile and racially charged political climate in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd.
