After over 20 years and over 500 cover bands, The Great Cover Up has grown into a community institution. The annual event is an unabashedly creative, silly, DIY cover band concert that celebrates individuality amongst an increasingly uniform world. But in late 2023, owners Paul and Cheetie officially sold Kings to trusted friends. As they formally hand over the keys, this doc serves as a time capsule of the treasured venue and what happens when Raleigh comes together to raise funds through rock and roll.
