The story of the Outer Banks embodies humanity’s ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-changing natural environment, to imagine the future, and to create realities that amaze and inspire. It is this legacy of resilience that we aim to capture in this film, because who and what we will become in the future will be grounded in what we choose to focus on and remember today.
Please click below to view a short sample reel summarizing our compelling story of North Carolina’s wild, beautiful, and ever-changing Outer Banks.
It’s just a taste – a sort of a sneak peek, if you will — of the story we’re working on. Please keep in mind that this reel is preliminary quality, generated during COVID when we were unable to begin interviewing. Since we were just beginning, and didn’t have any footage yet to speak of, it’s all done with still photos. The final film will of course be full quality, with interviews and breathtaking cinematography throughout, showcasing the magical wonders and unique cultures of these stunning – and threatened – barrier islands. We plan to show it on North Carolina’s statewide PBS network, as well as on other PBS stations around the country. And to get there, we must fulfill the film’s budget.
Please enjoy the reel. We hope you will choose to donate to this urgent campaign. Thank you for your support!
